Hello Earth

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Hello Earth ("the app", "we") is a globe-led world newspaper that shows localised news, radio, weather, photos, live webcams, flight and marine radar, and public social posts for countries around the world. This policy explains what limited data we handle and why.

Information we collect

How we use it

Data is used solely to operate and improve the app: to display the correct local edition, to show aggregate visitor counts, and to understand which countries our audience comes from. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Third-party services

The app fetches public content from third-party providers, each governed by its own terms and privacy practices: Mapbox (maps), Google News RSS (headlines), Radio Browser (radio), Open-Meteo (weather), Wikimedia Commons (photos), Windy (webcams), adsb.lol / adsbdb.com (flights), AISstream (ships), and Mastodon (social posts). Loading this content may expose your IP address to those providers as part of a standard web request.

Data retention

Anonymous visit records are retained for analytics and may be aggregated or deleted over time. No personal identifiers are attached to them.

Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience news product and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
